The Russian army massively attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region: there are dead and wounded

On June 24, Russian troops launched a massive attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result of shelling, a fire broke out in the Dnipro, and civil infrastructure objects were damaged. The city of Samar was also hit, where destruction was recorded, and the train coming from Odesa was seriously damaged. The dead and wounded are reported, informs Serhiy Lysak, head of the regional military administration.
“A fire broke out in Dnipro due to an enemy attack. Civilian infrastructure was damaged. In particular, a dormitory, a gymnasium, an administrative building. A train was mutilated. Its passengers were injured.”, says the message.
Later, Lysak said that the city of Samar was also hit, information about the consequences is being clarified.
“Unfortunately, there are dead and injured everywhere”, — noted the head of OVA.
The first explosion occurred at 11:01. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported at least two high-speed targets moving in the direction of the Dnipro
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, train No. 52 connecting Odesa — Zaporizhzhia came under fire.
“Rescuers and ambulance crews quickly arrived at the scene. The passengers were promptly transferred to a shelter, as the air alert in the region continues. Ukrzaliznytsia is preparing a replacement rolling stock along the Dnieper to transfer passengers and deliver them to Zaporizhzhia.”, the company clarified.
Mayor of Dnipro Boris Filatov reported, that as a result of shelling, according to preliminary data, one person died.
“14 schools and kindergartens were damaged. The city hospital and polyclinic were also damaged. There is significant destruction in the private sector.”, – he emphasized.
