The SBI referred to the court 827 indictments regarding crimes against National Security

The State Bureau of Investigation continues active work on exposing and bringing to justice persons who betrayed Ukraine during the war. Since the beginning of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine is being investigated more than 2,200 criminal proceedings regarding crimes against national security, including treason and collaborative activities. Also, 827 indictments were sent to the court.
Including:
- 1,654 criminal proceedings – based on the fact of treason (Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),
- 435 criminal proceedings – based on the fact of collaborative activity (Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),
- 38 criminal proceedings – against accomplices of the aggressor state (Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and others.

Currently, according to the results of pre-trial investigations:
- 1,128 persons were notified of suspicion,
- 553 persons are declared wanted,
- 1,309 people are being investigated for involvement in treason and collaborative activities,
As part of investigations, the SBI collects evidence, interviews witnesses and analyzes other information. On the basis of the collected materials, more than a thousand people have already been notified of suspicion, and the courts have assigned real terms of imprisonment to the detained defectors.
The SBI continues systematic work to expose state traitors and collaborators, ensuring the inevitability of punishment for crimes against Ukraine.
