In the project of the State Budget of Ukraine for 2025, more than UAH 55 billion is provided for financing the production of weapons and military equipment. About this reported Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Herman Smetanin in his Telegram channel.
“During the government meeting, the project of the State Budget for 2025 was supported. In total, more than 55 billion hryvnias were allocated for the production of weapons and military equipment. This is more than was allocated for this year“, the minister said.
UAH 54.55 billion has been allocated in the budget for the development of production capacities, the development of the latest technologies and the expansion of the production of defense products. Smetanin also reminded that in 2024, about 51 billion hryvnias were allocated for these needs.
In addition, the draft budget for 2025 provides UAH 500 million for the program of affordable lending for defense industry enterprises. This program, launched this year, allows you to get loans at 5% per annum, and the rest of the interest will be covered by the state budget.
The draft law “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2025” is currently being prepared for the second reading in the Verkhovna Rada.
It is also reported that the costs of building fortifications in 2025 will be transferred from the reserve fund to program costs of the Ministry of Defense.
