The UN has expressed serious concern over Russia’s use of a new missile to strike Ukraine

The United Nations has expressed serious concern over Russia’s use of new medium-range ballistic missile weapons. The official representative of the UN Secretary General Stephane Dujarric, commenting on the events of November 21, named this is a worrying and dangerous development that leads in the wrong direction.
Dujarric called on all parties to the conflict to reduce tensions, stressing that escalation would only increase civilian suffering and create new threats to global security.
We will remind that on November 21, Russia carried out a massive missile attack on Ukraine, using various types of missiles. The Air Force of Ukraine reported the probable use of an intercontinental ballistic missile, which was confirmed by Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
The President of Ukraine noted that Russia is turning Ukraine into a testing ground for new types of weapons, including missiles, and is actively looking for additional weapons abroad. On the same day, Vladimir Putin announced a “successful test” of the new medium-range Oreshnik missile, which was used to strike the Dnieper.
According to the Pentagon, the Oreshnyk missile is based on the development of the RS-26 Rubizh intercontinental missile. The US was warned about its launch 30 minutes before the attack.
