The US has allocated funds for the production of bombs, including supplies for the Armed Forces

The US Department of Defense signed a $6.9 billion contract with Boeing for the production of small-caliber air bombs, some of which will be supplied to Ukraine. This information was there made public on the official website of the US Department of Defense.

According to the terms of the contract, almost 7 billion dollars will be used for the production of aerial bombs, which will be intended not only for Ukraine, but also for Bulgaria and Japan. According to the Pentagon, the implementation of the contract is planned to be completed by December 31, 2035.

In addition, the US Department of Defense also signed a contract with the defense corporation Lockheed Martin worth 2.1 billion dollars. This agreement involves the production of Trident II D5 intercontinental ballistic missiles, designed to be launched from submarines, with new nuclear warheads.

On September 26, the Pentagon announced that since the beginning of Joe Biden’s presidential term, the United States has provided Ukraine with a total of more than $59.3 billion in military aid, of which $58.7 billion has come since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion in February 2022.

In addition, according to media reports, the US may transfer Joint Standoff Weapon (AGM-154) cruise bombs to Ukraine, which are suitable for use on F-16 fighters. These aerial bombs are capable of hitting targets at a distance of more than 110 kilometers.

A new package of military aid to Ukraine worth $75 million was also announced, which included air-to-ground munitions, probably the AGM-154.
