The Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill that creates favorable conditions for veteran-owned businesses

In the second reading and as a whole, the Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 10258, which provides for the creation of favorable conditions for veterans to start and develop their own business. About this reported head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on State Power Organization, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning, Olena Shulyak.

The draft law provides for the introduction of tax incentives for veteran entrepreneurship, state lending programs and partial compensation of interest rates on loans. In addition, the document refers to the introduction of returnable and non-returnable financial assistance mechanisms, organization of training and retraining of personnel for enterprises created by veterans.

Other provisions include simplification of permit procedures, state supervision (control) and obtaining necessary documents for veteran businesses. State support for promoting products, works and services to international markets and attracting funding from international financial organizations is also provided.

The draft law covers not only veterans, but also their family members, as well as families of fallen defenders. The document proposes to provide in the draft state budget for the financing of a targeted program to support veteran businesses for the period 2026-2028.

The law will enter into force within six months of its official publication and will remain in effect for 10 years from the end of martial law.
