The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the first reading draft law No. 10284, which provides for stimulating the participation of state bodies and local self-government bodies in the implementation of programs and projects of international technical assistance and cross-border cooperation.

About this reported first deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Tax and Customs Policy, People’s Deputy from the “Voice” faction Yaroslav Zheleznyak in Telegram.

The draft law proposes to establish additional payments for officials of state authorities and local self-government bodies for the additional burden associated with the performance of duties within the framework of projects financed by means of international technical assistance. The amount of additional payments can be up to 50% of the average salary of an official, but not more than the amount provided for in the budget of the corresponding project.

The financing of the surcharges will be carried out through funds provided in the budgets of aid programs and grants from international partners, such as the European Union, foreign governments, international organizations and donor institutions.
