US President Donald Trump expressed his willingness to introduce the death penalty for drug trafficking, and also announced the launch of social advertising aimed at fighting drugs. That’s what he’s about stated during a meeting with American governors at the White House.
According to him, the administration will introduce “terrible commercials” that should discourage Americans from using drugs.
Trump also called on state governments to adopt the death penalty for drug-related crimes:
“Your states have the power to impose the death penalty for drugs.”
He emphasized that there are no drug problems in countries where the death penalty is used for drug trafficking.
“If you think about it, it’s very humane because every drug dealer, on average, they say, kills at least 500 people, not to mention the harm they do to so many others. I don’t know if our country is ready for that, but I’m ready for it – the death penalty if you deal drugs.”, – emphasized Trump.
