Trump’s team believes that Ukraine should lower the mobilization age

The team of US President-elect Donald Trump believes that in order to stabilize the situation at the front in Ukraine, the mobilization age should be lowered, which will allow “hundreds of thousands of new soldiers” to be recruited into the ranks of the army. This was stated by Mike Waltz, Trump’s future national security adviser, informs ABC News.

“Another thing that we will have to see is stabilization on the battlefield. And one of the things that we will ask the Ukrainians about is that they have problems with manpower. Their mobilization age is now 26, not 18. They can generate hundreds of thousands of new soldiers”, – stressed Volz.

He stressed that stabilization on the battlefield is a necessary condition for the start of any negotiations. However, in his opinion, only aid and weapons from the allies are not enough – for this, a significant strengthening of the human resources of the Ukrainian army is required. At the same time, Volz mentioned the existing problems with morale among the military and difficulties on the front line.

“Listen, if the Ukrainians asked the whole world to bet everything on democracy, they must also bet everything on democracy.” – he concluded.
