У новорічну ніч десятки тисяч людей вийшли на вулиці Тбілісі, щоб висловити своє невдоволення курсом офіційної влади Грузії. Про це повідомляє Euronews. Демонстранти зібралися на проспекті Руставелі, головній артерії столиці, вимагаючи проведення дострокових парламентських виборів і звільнення всіх активістів, затриманих під час попередніх акцій протесту. Окрему ходу організували біля в’язниці “Глдані”, де перебувають десятки затриманих учасників протестів. Символом єдності стало традиційне грузинське застілля “Супра”, під час якого протестувальники ділилися їжею та напоями. За словами учасників, їхній мітинг не лише демонстрація спротиву, а й свято спільності. Вони запевнили, що акції триватимуть доти, доки влада не виконає їхні вимоги. “Грузія протестує 34-ту ніч, яка була сповнена радості, солідарності та надії для понад 200 000 протестувальників, які разом святкували (у грузинському стилі за кілометровим столом) 2025 рік як рік нових виборів. Самоорганізація досягла нових висот”, — зазначила експрезидентка Грузії Саломе Зурабішвілі. Нагадаємо, що вона не визнає легітимність нового складу парламенту, який сформували за результатами парламентських виборів наприкінці жовтня.
On New Year’s Eve, tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Tbilisi to express their dissatisfaction with the course of the official government of Georgia. About this informs Euronews.
Demonstrators gathered on Rustaveli Avenue, the capital’s main artery, demanding early parliamentary elections and the release of all activists arrested during previous protests. A separate march was organized near the “Gldani” prison, where dozens of detained protesters are being held.
The traditional Georgian feast “Supra”, during which protesters shared food and drinks, became a symbol of unity. According to the participants, their rally is not only a demonstration of resistance, but also a celebration of togetherness. They assured that the actions will continue until the authorities fulfill their demands.
“Georgia protests 34th night, which was full of joy, solidarity and hope for more than 200,000 protesters who celebrated together (Georgian-style at a kilometer table) 2025 as the year of new elections. Self-organization reached new heights”, — noted ex-president of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili.
We will remind that it does not recognize the legitimacy of the new composition of the parliament, which was formed as a result of the parliamentary elections at the end of October.
