Ukraine and Finland launch international Civil Protection Shelter Coalition

Ukraine and Finland signed an agreement on the establishment of the Coalition of Civil Protection Shelters. About this howled Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal after meeting with Prime Minister of Finland Petteri Orpo.
“Together with Finland, we are launching an international coalition of civil protection shelters in support of our state.” Shmyhal said.
The goal of the initiative is to strengthen the protection of the civilian population of Ukraine in the conditions of prolonged aggression by Russia. According to the plan, 2,300 civil defense facilities should be built in Ukraine by 2027, and another 3,000 by 2030.
Ukraine appeals to the international community to join the newly created coalition and join the development of the shelter system. During the negotiations, the parties also signed documents on deepening cooperation in the spheres of security, energy, education and other key areas.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, thanked the Finnish government for its support, stressing the importance of international solidarity with the Ukrainian people during the war.
It will be recalled that on March 13, Finland announced another, 28th package of military aid for Ukraine with a total value of about 200 million euros.
