“Ukrainian representatives met in Washington with White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and his representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg”– the publication notes.
Trump’s advisers are actively discussing various strategies for settling the war in Ukraine. One of the main ideas is to temporarily freeze the current front lines, which will allow to focus on the negotiations. As part of this plan, it is proposed to suspend Ukraine’s integration into NATO, instead, Kyiv will be offered security guarantees from the US. These guarantees may include increased arms supplies after a peace agreement is reached.
Keith Kellogg’s plan, developed in collaboration with Fred Fleitz, a former National Security Council official, was presented to Donald Trump. The main provisions of this plan provide for the continuation of support to Ukraine, provided that it is ready for peace negotiations. At the same time, Trump intends to warn Moscow about a possible increase in military aid to Ukraine if the Kremlin abandons the diplomatic way of resolving the conflict.
