The forces of unmanned systems in cooperation with other units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck an enterprise that manufactures combat units for the “Shaheeds”, located in the Moscow region of Russia. About this reported General Staff of the Armed Forces.
According to the military, Ukrainian drones hit JSC FNPC “Research Institute of Applied Chemistry” in the city of Serhiyiv Posad, Moscow region.
“At the moment, the company produces, in particular, thermobaric combat parts for Shahed UAVs, and is an important link in the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. It has been confirmed that our means of destruction directly hit the target. A fire and heavy smoke were recorded in the vicinity of the facility.” – says the message.
At present, the results of the damage are still being clarified. At the same time, the head of Serhiyiv Posad city district, Oksana Yerokhanova, reported in the morning about the drone attack on the city. According to her, as a result of the impact on the power substation, a fire broke out, and six neighborhoods were left without electricity. The authorities blocked the road near the substation. In addition, Yerokhanova stated about two injured men.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the destruction of 48 drones during the night, but did not mention the events in the Moscow region.
