Ukrainian pensioners were allowed to receive a pension in advance for six months

Some Ukrainian pensioners have the right to receive a one-time pension payment six months in advance if they plan to move abroad for permanent residence. This is provided for in Article 51 of the Law of Ukraine “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance”, explain at PFU.

To receive this payment, a pensioner must apply to the Pension Fund of Ukraine with a corresponding application. A foreign passport with a record of departure to a permanent residence, a passport document of a foreigner or a stateless identity card, as well as a certificate of deregistration of the place of residence in Ukraine must be attached to the application.

The payment is made in six months, starting from the month following the month of removal of the pensioner from the register at the place of residence. You can receive payment immediately before departure. The money is transferred by the Pension Fund to the current account of the pensioner in the bank.

This mechanism makes it possible to provide financial support to those who leave Ukraine for permanent residence abroad.
