US expresses concern over information on DPRK soldiers’ participation in the war on the side of Russia

US National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett expressed the United States’ concern over reports that North Korean soldiers are fighting alongside Russia in Ukraine. About this informs Reuters.
Savett said that if the participation of North Korean troops in Ukraine is confirmed, it will mean a significant strengthening of military relations between the DPRK and Russia. He also emphasized that this development demonstrates the desperation of Russia, which continues to suffer serious losses on the battlefield in Ukraine.
As you know, on October 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma a draft law on the ratification of the “comprehensive strategic partnership” agreement between Russia and North Korea, signed on June 19, 2024. According to this document, both countries agreed to provide each other with military and other assistance in the event of an armed attack.
The Center for Combating Disinformation stated that this agreement actually means the creation of a military alliance between the Russian Federation and the DPRK, as it includes a clause on the provision of assistance by all possible means in the event of an attack on one of the parties.
On October 13, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, noted that cooperation between Russia and North Korea is intensifying, and it is not only about the supply of weapons for the war against Ukraine, but also about recruiting people to the Russian army. The next day, he declared that the DPRK actually joined the war against Ukraine.
