Vucic reported that he is satisfied with the results of the negotiations with Putin.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that he was satisfied with the results of the negotiations with Vladimir Putin that took place in Moscow. The leader of Serbia thanked the President of the Russian Federation for the respect shown and noted that the meeting took place in an open and sincere atmosphere. About this informs France 24.
“We considered all aspects of bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Russia. I am satisfied with the results of the negotiations, I am satisfied with the attention and the way President Putin received the Serbian delegation, as well as the respect he showed to Serbia. And, of course, we showed the same respect to the Russian Federation.” – emphasized the Serbian leader.
He also informed that special attention was paid during the meeting to the issue of energy, in particular to the supply of Russian gas to Serbia.
“We also talked about concluding a new long-term agreement with our Russian friends on gas supply. Currently, this covers about 85% of the total gas consumption in Serbia, and today we started these negotiations – me and President Putin. Soon our specialists will start preparing this long-term agreement.” – specified Vucic.
During the part of the negotiations open to the media, Vučić also emphasized that providing Serbia with Russian energy resources is of exceptional importance for the Balkan republic. According to him, Belgrade hopes to maintain supplies “on good terms”.
Serbia is heavily dependent on Russia for energy, receiving gas under the current contract at a price of only $275 per thousand cubic meters — well below current market rates in Europe. The European Union has repeatedly expressed concern about Serbia’s close relationship with Moscow and urged Belgrade to bring its foreign and security policy in line with the EU’s course.
