Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov shared his experience during the national telethon, how the city managed to improve the efficiency of all services, including the police, doctors, rescuers and utility workers.
Terekhov said that a situational center was created for this purpose, where all relevant services work around the clock.
“We have created such a headquarters – a situational center in which all relevant services are available 24/7, around the clock. And we react quickly. We have significantly reduced the time when our specialists, relevant services, employees of the State Emergency Service, ambulances, the police, and our communal services arrive for shelling. We are open 24/7 today. This is very important for us, because time passes by seconds. Therefore, it is very important that our services are at the scene of the flights as soon as possible and save people’s lives.” – said the mayor.
Earlier, the city authorities reported that the situation center in Kharkiv works around the clock, monitoring and analyzing the current operational situation, including threats of a military nature. The data of this center is planned to be used for the implementation of differentiated air alarm signals in the city. The creation of the situational center was announced at the beginning of 2024.
In addition, they added that thanks to continuous communication between the emergency services, the patrol police and other agencies, the city ensured a quick response to all emergency situations.
