Yevhen Muraev, who is in China, gave an interview for the first time in three years

Former People’s Deputy and leader of the banned “Nashi” party Yevgeny Muraev, who is accused of treason in Ukraine, gave an interview to a Russian channel for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia.

Murayev noted that his public speech is not related to the elections, which, in his opinion, “will not take place in the near future”, and emphasized that he is not applying for any positions, adding: “Everything in its own time.” He also said that he is currently in China and does not yet see the possibility of returning to Ukraine.

Murayev suggested that his interview would cause a wave of reactions among Ukrainian politicians, calling them “great figures” who, he said, would “tell new horror stories” about him. He called his appearance in the media space a “breakthrough of the information blockade”, which, he claims, was created by the Ukrainian authorities.

In his opinion, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy “is not going to end the war under any circumstances.” The politician is going to “search for those who disappeared from his environment after the fall of the Zelenskyi regime.” Murayev did not say how he left Ukraine, “so as not to harm the people who helped him.”

The former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada mentioned Russia several times, stressing the “many centuries of shared history within the framework of one state.” He described the military conflict as a “deterioration of relations between countries”, and called Ukrainians and Russians “close peoples”.
