“Zelensky discussed authorization for strikes deep into Russia with all partners. The Russians will be the first to know about it”: President’s press secretary on the results of his visit to the United States
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, discussed permission to strike deep into the Russian Federation with all partners. The Russians will be the first to learn about it. Such a statement was made by the press secretary of the President of Ukraine, Serhiy Nikiforov, during the telethon.
“The Russians will be the first to learn about the permission to strike deep into Russia. And only then will an official announcement be made. I don’t have a final decision for you right now.” – said the statement of the press secretary.
Nikiforov emphasized that Zelenskyi held negotiations with all the decision-making parties on this issue — Italy, France, Great Britain and the United States.
“Although there is no unequivocal permission now, there is this huge pressure on the partners from the side of Ukraine. We hope that the partners will give in.” added Serhii Nikiforov.
Nikiforov also claims that during the visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the United States, the American side showed “great interest” in the Victory Plan of Ukraine. According to the press secretary, the “epithets” used by authoritative Western media regarding the US reaction to the Ukraine Victory Plan do not correspond to reality.
“This is all untrue. He was received with great interest, he was received constructively, he was taken to work.” – Nikiforov stated.
He added that so far the American side has taken the Victory Plan for Ukraine to work, and already on October 12 at “Ramstein” there will be some “decisions and answers” from Biden. Therefore, the beginning is encouraging.
According to Nikiforov, the Ukrainian leader managed to complete almost 100% of the planned tasks during his stay in the USA. A key achievement was the opportunity to present the Ukraine Victory Plan not only to the current US President Joe Biden, but also to both candidates for this position, preserving the principle of bipartisanship despite the existing difficulties.
“The president held meetings with both candidates, gave them a plan for victory. This plan was also presented to members of the House of Representatives and the Senate of Congress from both parties,” – said Nikiforov.
He also emphasized the importance of signing the declaration on the reconstruction of Ukraine, comparing its significance with bilateral security agreements.
“There was a meeting with both candidates, I gave them the victory plan, I gave it to the representatives of the House of Representatives and the Senate of the Congress – also representatives of both parties. They made a very important declaration on the reconstruction of Ukraine – this is how we had bilateral security agreements – this is something similar.” – said Serhiy Nikiforov.
