President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that the economic component is one of the key aspects of Ukraine’s internal Strengthening Plan. He said this in his address to the participants of the Kyiv International Economic Forum, the website of the President’s Office reports.
‘We are absolutely clear: The Ukraine we want for our children is a Ukraine that has achieved a lasting peace, that has implemented all the tasks of reconstruction and that uses its connections with the global world correctly. This is our joint work. The state can achieve ambitious goals only in cooperation with social forces and business. That is why I want to thank all of you for being with our state, for being in Ukraine, for helping the state,’ Zelensky said.
The President emphasised the importance of businesses operating in Ukraine, calling them a contribution to the country’s future. He stressed that ‘saved jobs, new job opportunities for Ukrainians, every new or saved production is part of Ukraine’s internal security, which needs to be strengthened.’
Zelenskyy also said that Ukraine is currently developing an internal Strengthening Plan, which aims to increase the state’s resilience and achieve victory. Among the key elements of this plan are the economic aspect, business development and maximising the potential of entrepreneurship through deregulation and a competitive environment, which will strengthen the country’s economic strength and its ability to withstand aggression.
The President invited business to participate in the development of the economic part of this plan, noting that First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko is already actively working in this direction, and the strategic vision of entrepreneurs will be taken into account.
Zelenskyy made his address online while en route to Budapest, where the European Political Community summit is to take place.
