Zelenskyy signed laws on ARMA reform and factoring

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed the law on the reform of the National Agency of Ukraine for the detection, investigation and management of assets obtained from corruption and other crimes (ARMA), as well as the law on factoring. This decision is part of Ukraine’s obligations to the European Union within the framework of the Ukraine Facility financial assistance program. That’s what he’s about reported based on the results of a telephone conversation with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
“I spoke with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. Many issues were discussed: the European integration of Ukraine, the further strengthening of sanctions against Russia, and the work of our anti-corruption infrastructure.” – noted Zelensky.
According to him, one of the topics of the conversation was the draft law that ensures the independence and effectiveness of anti-corruption bodies in Ukraine.
“I thanked the European Commission for the expertise provided. We have the same vision: it is important that the draft law be adopted immediately, already next week.” he added.
In addition, the president said that Ukraine continues to implement the necessary reforms to receive financial support within the framework of the Ukraine Facility mechanism.
“Today I signed the laws on ARMA reform and factoring. Ursula noted the progress in the implementation of the relevant indicators”, – emphasized the head of state.
Separately, Zelensky thanked the European Union for the 18th package of sanctions against Russia, in particular for the decision to lower the price limit for Russian oil. He also reminded that Ukraine continues to synchronize European sanctions. The parties also discussed ways to speed up the opening of the first negotiation cluster on Ukraine’s accession to the EU. According to the president, Kyiv is ready for operational action.
