23 марта США и РФ согласуют детали прекращения ударов по энергетической и гражданской инфраструктуре в рамках российско-украинской войны: Виткофф

On March 23, Saudi Arabia will hold talks between representatives of the USA and Russia to agree on the details of ending attacks on energy and civilian infrastructure as part of the Russian-Ukrainian war. This was stated by Steve Witkoff, Trump’s special representative for the Middle East, informs Fox News.
«The devil is in the details. We have a team that will go to Saudi Arabia led by our national security adviser (Mike Waltz) and the secretary of state (Marco Rubio) and I think we have to figure out those details.», — Witkoff explained.
According to him, the ceasefire agreements provide for a pause in strikes not only on the energy system, but also on critical infrastructure in general. He expressed hope for the support of these initiatives by the Ukrainian side. The talks are to take place in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
«I certainly hope that the Ukrainians will agree to this. We of course have some details to discuss, but it will start on Sunday in Jeddah and we will have a good conversation to achieve positive results.», — emphasized Witkoff.
Currently, it is not known whether the Ukrainian side will participate in the negotiations. Russia also did not officially confirm its presence at the March 23 meeting.
We will remind that on March 18, US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin, which lasted about two hours. The parties agreed that the path to peace will begin with the cessation of shelling of the energy sector, and Moscow has put forward a demand to suspend mobilization in Ukraine and rearmament of the Armed Forces for the duration of a possible truce.
