The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, France, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Poland, Germany and the European Union made a statement on strengthening support for Ukraine. They also emphasize the need for Europe’s participation in future negotiations to end the war waged by Russia against Ukraine. In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of European countries emphasized their commitment to the principles of independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine «in the face of Russia’s war of aggression.»
«We share the goal of further supporting Ukraine until a just, comprehensive and sustainable peace is achieved. A peace that guarantees the interests of Ukraine and its European allies.» — said in the statement.
Also, European diplomats expect further discussions on this issue «together with American allies».
«Our common goals should be to ensure a position of strength for Ukraine. Ukraine and Europe should participate in any negotiations.» — is emphasized in the joint statement.
The ministers emphasized the need to provide Ukraine with «strong» security guarantees:
«A just and sustainable peace in Ukraine is a necessary condition for strong Euro-Atlantic security. We remind you that the security of the European continent is our joint responsibility. Therefore, we are working together to strengthen our collective defense capabilities.»
