The US State Department has approved the emergency transfer to Israel of bombs, explosive kits and other weapons in the amount of about 3 billion dollars. About this informs Reuters.
The process is said to have bypassed the normal procedure by which the chairmen and members of the House and Senate Foreign Affairs Committees have the opportunity to preview the details of the sale and request additional information prior to the official notification to Congress.
The deal calls for the supply of 35,529 general-purpose bomb cases for 2,000-pound shells, as well as 4,000 2,000-pound bunker bombs manufactured by General Dynamics.
