In Ivano-Frankisk, explosions rang out near the railway station, rescuers were involved in liquidation of the consequences and fire at two addresses at once. About this reported Mayor Ruslan Marcinkiv.
“Unknown explosive devices went off at two addresses. According to preliminary information, one person died, one is in a very serious condition and two more are injured. They are being given medical aid. We see that war is on the entire territory of Ukraine and it is very important to be as careful as possible. More detailed information will obviously be provided by law enforcement agencies working at the scene of the incident.”, the message says.
In the State Emergency Service clarified, that a fire broke out in the roof of a nine-story apartment building on Zaliznychna Street, covering an area of 400 square meters. m. It was preliminarily established that the fire was caused by an explosion on the attic floor. Rescuers evacuated 15 residents of the entrance and rescued 4 people. The fire has been extinguished.
In the press service of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” added, that the incident happened outside the station, but the sounds of explosions could be heard there as well.
“Passengers and station employees were not injured. Trains are running according to schedule,” – says the company’s message.
Currently, the police and rescuers are working at the scene, the circumstances of the events are being investigated.
