“24-hour posts and video surveillance will be introduced for all tobacco producers”: Hetmantsev

According to the words heads Danylo Hetmantsev of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, 24-hour posts and video surveillance will soon be introduced at all tobacco factories.

Key points:

•  The decision was made in response to the call of the Vinnykiv tobacco factory to protect the rights of Ukrainian producers and in connection with the detected violations on the market.
• The strengthening of control is aimed at combating the illegal trade in tobacco products and counterfeits.
• According to “Kantar Ukraine”, the share of the Vynnykivka tobacco factory in illegal trade was 57%, and the overall level of illegal trade decreased from 25.7% to 19.1%.
