3 people killed in Russian shelling in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region

In Nikopol, as a result of artillery fire, three people were killed, among them an employee of the State Emergency Service. Four more were injured, including three rescuers. About this informs DSNS press office.

“In Nikopol, three people were killed by artillery fire, including a rescuer. Four more people were injured, including 3 employees of the State Emergency Service.” – says the message.

Shelling from barrel artillery occurred during the survey of the territory after a previous enemy strike. The projectile directly hit an official vehicle of the State Emergency Service. Three employees of the State Emergency Service and one civilian were among the injured.

“During the performance of official duties, a specialist of the emergency response department of the 7th state fire and rescue squad of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region, senior lieutenant of the civil protection service, Danylo Khizhnyak, died.

Danylo has been in the ranks of the State Emergency Service since 2019. His dedication and courage will forever be remembered by his colleagues. He was a true hero, always ready to save lives and help others.”, — clarified in the State Emergency Service.
