A bill on a complete withdrawal from the UN appeared in the US Congress

The US Congress has introduced a bill that proposes a complete withdrawal of the United States from the United Nations. About this informs Fox News.
Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah has introduced an initiative that provides for the complete withdrawal of the United States from the United Nations and all its agencies, as well as the end of funding for their activities starting in 2025. In addition, Republican Chip Roy from Texas plans to introduce a similar project to the House of Representatives.
“The UN has become a playground for tyrants and a place for attacks against America and its allies. We must stop paying for it. Now that President Trump is revolutionizing our foreign policy by putting America first, we must leave this bogus organization and prioritize real alliances that work for the security and prosperity of our country.” Mike Lee said.
Chip Roy, in turn, emphasized that the UN is not fulfilling its tasks:
“Despite all the money and attention, this corrupt global organization has for decades failed to prevent wars, genocides, human rights abuses and even pandemics.”
He also mentioned the scandal surrounding UNRWA, the UN’s specialized agency for supporting Palestinian refugees, some of whose employees, according to reports, may have been involved in the Hamas attack on Israel. So far, about ten more Republicans have supported the initiative.
