A centralized platform for relatives of missing soldiers will be launched in Ukraine

It is planned to launch a single online platform to centralize information about missing soldiers from different services. About this informs press service of the Office of the President.
A meeting with the families of the missing defenders was held under the chairmanship of the deputy head of the OP Iryna Vereshchuk. The event was also attended by representatives of relevant ministries, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Joint Center for the Coordination of the Search and Release of Illegally Deprived Persons under the SBU, the National Information Bureau, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and public organizations.
During the discussion, the mechanisms of interaction of the Coordination Headquarters with the Joint Center of the SBU, the issue of searching for missing soldiers, conducting DNA examinations and speeding up the receipt of relevant conclusions were considered.
The participants of the meeting reached an agreement on submitting a draft law to the Verkhovna Rada, which will provide that criminal proceedings on the disappearance of defenders will be conducted at the place of residence of their families. A single online platform is planned to be launched to combine the data of all services in one resource. Its functioning should begin within a month
“This will facilitate more convenient communication between relatives and investigators regarding examinations, certificates, etc. It is very important that this decision be worked out as soon as possible, and the law itself be adopted immediately.”, – explained Vereshchuk.
