The sale of used cars on the Ukrainian market showed rapid growth

April 2024 was a record month for the used car market in Ukraine. By data According to the Car Market Research Institute, Ukrainians purchased 124,500 used cars, which is 58.6% more than in the same period last year. This is also 44.1% more than in March 2024.
Experts explain this growth by several factors:
- The devaluation of the hryvnia has led to the fact that new cars have become less affordable for most Ukrainians.
- The war in Ukraine has led to uncertainty about the future, forcing people to look for more affordable means of transportation.
- The introduction of new mobilization laws, which include a provision for potential vehicle impoundment, has prompted some people to buy a used car to have a backup vehicle
