A combat commander was appointed deputy of Andriy Yermak: Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s decision

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, has appointed Colonel Pavel Palis as the Deputy Head of the Office of the President. That’s what he’s about announced during his evening address.

“Combat commander, commander of the 93rd brigade “Kholodny Yar”. He understands well what is in the brigades, at the front. And I need just such a person to know exactly the information directly from the front on a daily basis.” – noted Zelensky.

Pavlo Palisa comes from a military family and was educated at the Lviv Institute of Ground Forces, as well as at the Command and Staff Institute of the National Defense University of Ukraine. He also attended the US Army Command and Staff College, but returned to Ukraine after the full-scale Russian invasion began to continue his service.

In 2022, Palisa became the commander of the newly created regiment, and later headed the 93rd separate mechanized brigade. He took an active part in military operations, in particular in the defense of Bakhmut. Colonel Palisa was awarded the “Cross of Combat Merit” for his remarkable achievements in command and bravery on the battlefield.
