A French politician calls to allow Ukraine to use weapons to attack Russia

Jean-Louis Bourlanger, the head of the committee on foreign affairs of the French parliament, made a strong appeal to the top leadership of France to lift restrictions on the use of French weapons by the Ukrainian military to launch strikes on the territory of Russia.
About this informs French publication Le Figaro.
In his letter to the top leadership of the country, Bourlanger urged to abandon “restraint” and take decisive action. He emphasized the need to recognize Ukraine’s right to self-defense, which, in his opinion, has priority over the aggressor’s right to territorial integrity. The politician also cited the example of Great Britain, which has already allowed Ukraine to use its weapons against Russia.
“It seems that the time has come… The right to self-defense excludes the right to inviolability of the territory of Russia, – stressed Bourlanger.
At the same time, he assured that neither France nor other Western partners of Ukraine seek to go to war with Russia. According to him, it is not about the escalation of the conflict, but about the recognition of Ukraine’s right to protection against aggression.
