A guilty verdict was announced against the ex-prosecutor and the head of the city court in Donetsk region

The higher anti-corruption court found the chairman of the Druzhkiv city court of the Donetsk region and the former prosecutor of the Druzhkiv department of the Kramatorsk local prosecutor’s office guilty of corruption crimes. According to the investigation, it is about judge Gennadiy Moliboga and ex-prosecutor Vasyl Yagupets.
“The Board of Judges of the Supreme Administrative Court announced a guilty verdict against the head of the Druzhkiv city court of the Donetsk region and the former prosecutor of the Druzhkiv department of the Kramatorsk local prosecutor’s office of the Donetsk region, who were found guilty of giving and receiving illegal benefits”, the message says.
The court made a decision regarding Gennady Moliboga: 7.5 years of imprisonment with a ban on holding public office for 2 years. Vasyl Yagupets received 4.5 years of imprisonment. The verdict is not final and can be appealed to the Appeals Chamber of the VAX within 30 days from the moment of its announcement.
In the first episode, the investigation accused Moliboga and lawyer Ihor Serikov of receiving an illegal benefit for issuing a decision not to bring the citizen to administrative responsibility.
The second episode concerns Valery Melkumyan, against whom a protocol of administrative violation was drawn up, prosecutor Vasyl Yagupets and Andrii Lada. Subsequently, in connection with the involvement of an interpreter, the case materials regarding Melkumyan and Lada were separated into a separate proceeding.
