A judge of the Supreme Court lives in an elite cottage for 18 million in the name of his mother-in-law: Bihus.Info investigation (video)
Judge of the Administrative Court of Cassation within the Supreme Court of Ukraine, Ihor Dashutin, probably lives in an undeclared luxury house in a cottage town in Kyiv. As found out investigative journalists from Bihus.Info, this house was officially purchased by his mother-in-law Oksana Lyashkova in the fall of 2023. The cost of similar houses in this cottage complex starts at 18.5 million hryvnias.
Prior to that, Dashutin’s family lived in a spacious apartment in one of the capital’s elite residential complexes, designed for the judge’s mother. However, interestingly, neither Dashutin’s declaration nor his wife Anna’s documents contain any mention of real estate or cars. Formally, spouses use the property that belongs to their relatives.
In the declaration for the last year, Dashutin stated that he lives with his wife in an apartment with an area of 190 square meters. m, which belongs to his mother and was purchased by her in 2020. However, journalists discovered that in recent weeks, cars used by Ihor and Anna Dashutina have been constantly appearing near the house in the cottage town. The judge leaves for work from there every morning and returns in the evening.
When asked by journalists about his new place of residence, Dashutin replied that he and his wife were “visiting their mother-in-law” in a cottage town. He also noted that he currently continues to live in his mother’s apartment. However, reporters discovered that the apartment had recently been put up for sale, but the ad disappeared after reporters reached out for comment.
In addition, the investigation indicated that the judge’s wife drives a 2024 Audi Q8 purchased in April of this year. The car, as it turned out, also belongs to the judge’s mother.
In response to these questions, Dashutin noted that if the use of a new car goes beyond the 180-day period, the car will be included in the declaration. However, he emphasized that he mainly uses his own car, and they allegedly do not need a second car, because it is not possible to “keep two cars”.
