Russian troops intensified hostilities to reach the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region
Russian troops have intensified military operations with the aim of breaking through to the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk region, despite the announcement of a possible ceasefire for the May holidays. About this reported Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
The troops of the Russian Federation concentrated their main efforts on the Pokrovsky direction and significantly increased the intensity of offensive actions. According to Syrskyi, the enemy ignores the lack of real prospects both at the operational and tactical levels, and stubbornly tries to break through the defense of Ukrainian units.
“To this end, every day the Russian command throws new units into battle, drives its soldiers to death, reports on illusory successes and victories“, Syrskyi explained.
In response to the situation, he spent the day directly with the units holding the defense in this direction to solve the pressing problems and provide the necessary assistance to the unit commanders in the organization of combat operations.
“During the work, I listened to the commanders in detail, made a decision regarding the additional supply of ammunition, drones, EW devices and reserves. Special emphasis was placed on unmanned strike systems.” – noted the commander-in-chief.
Syrskyi also reported that, despite constant attacks, the enemy suffered significant losses and was forced to retreat.
“The fire damage is carried out to the entire depth of the enemy’s battle formations”, – he summarizes.
