“One civilian died, another was hospitalized in a medical facility in a serious condition. The Russian army struck the residential sector, residential buildings were damaged. Emergency services are working on the spot.”, the message says.
Under the procedural leadership of the Kupyan district prosecutor’s office of the Kharkiv region, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of a war crime that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, Russian troops shelled the residential sector in the city of Kup’yansk. A 53-year-old man died as a result of the shelling. Another 64-year-old resident was injured and was urgently hospitalized. Preliminary data indicate that the shelling was carried out from the “Uragan” rocket salvo system.
Prosecutors, together with police investigators, continue to record and document all the evidence of war crimes committed by the Russian military in the region.
