Amid massive migrant protests in Los Angeles, Trump sends 2,000 National Guard troops to the city

US President Donald Trump has decided to send 2,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles in response to mass riots sparked by tough federal immigration policies and raids against illegal immigrants. The demonstrations, now in their second day, were a response to a series of large-scale raids by immigration enforcement across the city. It is reported Fox News.
In an address published by Trump on his Truth Social social network, the head of state sharply criticized local authorities. In particular, he accused California Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass of inaction.
“Everybody knows they’re not up to the job. That’s why the federal government is forced to step in to restore order.”— Trump said.
The White House explained that the introduction of National Guard forces is aimed at stabilizing the situation and maintaining law and order.
“God bless the brave men and women of local and federal law enforcement and the National Guard working to restore law and order to Los Angeles. We are with you and the chaos will end now.” – the message of the White House says.
However, this decision caused a flurry of criticism from local officials and human rights organizations. According to them, federal intervention will not only not solve the problem, but may even exacerbate the conflict.
Protesters are demanding an immediate end to mass detentions and deportations, as well as calling for reform of US immigration laws. Demonstrations continue on the streets of Los Angeles, involving both local activists and representatives of immigrant communities. The situation remains tense.
