An electronic primary medical card will be introduced for the military

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to replace the outdated “form 100” with an electronic primary medical card, which will significantly improve the quality of medical care for the military. About this informs Ministry of Defense

The electronic card will be implemented through the information and communication platform “Medical Information System of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.

“This is an important step, thanks to which an opportunity is created for the collection and analysis of medical data, on the basis of which decisions will be made about improving the provision of medical care at the pre-hospital stage.” — said State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense Nikita Nikitenko.

This innovation will also form the basis for the launch of the combat injury registry, which the ministry is working on. Data from this registry will be used to create an evidence base that will meet the standards of treatment protocols in NATO countries.

Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov instructed to ensure the full implementation of the electronic medical record within three months from the date of entry into force of the relevant order. In the same period, it is necessary to create a technical infrastructure for maintaining a card through the medical information system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
