Armenia and the United States signed a document on strategic partnership

In Washington, the ministers of foreign affairs of Armenia and the USA signed a charter on strategic partnership. About this informs the Armenian service of “Radio Liberty”.
The document was the result of the meeting of the Armenian-American strategic dialogue held in June 2024. As a result of the dialogue, the parties adopted a joint statement on the intention to deepen relations to the level of strategic partnership.
“We are creating a strategic partnership commission, which provides for the expansion of cooperation in the areas of economy, security and defense, democracy, inclusiveness and interpersonal relations,” State Secretary Anthony Blinken announced.
He also noted that the US is working together with Armenia to strengthen efforts to protect the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. In the near future, a special border group from the USA will arrive in Armenia to conduct joint border protection operations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, expressed gratitude to the United States for supporting the territorial integrity and independence of Armenia. He emphasized that Yerevan remains committed to the peaceful agenda and is ready to continue working closely with the new US administration.
