In the evening of March 21, the Russian army launched an attack on Zaporizhzhia, using twelve attack UAVs of the “Shahed” type. As a result of the shelling, three people died, including a 14-year-old girl. Twelve people were injured, including a nine-month-old baby. About this informs DSNS press office.
The enemy attack caused damage to an infrastructure object, a restaurant, a kindergarten building, cars, high-rise buildings and private houses.

Rescuers put out the fire that broke out in the restaurant on an area of 70 square meters. m, a country house, a kindergarten and in an apartment on the seventh floor of a nine-story building — 30 square meters were burned there. m. As a result of the attack, one private house was completely destroyed, and two more were damaged. The blast wave and debris also affected nearby buildings. Rescue operations are currently ongoing.
All emergency services of the city are working at the scene of the impact. 63 rescuers and 16 pieces of equipment were involved from the State Emergency Service.

In the press service of JSC “Zaporizhgaz” reported, that as a result of the Russian attack, the gas pipelines laid along the facades of the destroyed buildings were damaged:
“The crews are localizing gas leaks and thoroughly checking the gas network in the epicenter of the explosions. Currently, two high-rise buildings and several private houses are without gas supply.”
City Council Secretary Regina Kharchenko reported, that employees of the utility company “Zaporizhremservice” close the windows in the buildings damaged by the Russian attack, using OSB-plates.
