Banks and financial institutions will pay for document sharing through “Diya”

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine introduces paid access to the document sharing service in the Diya application for banks and financial organizations. About this informs Forbes.

Starting from June 1 of this year, a one-time payment of 21,617 hryvnias will be charged for connection to the service, and 9.8 hryvnias for each successful transaction with the transfer of documents. Sending a single document will remain free, but multi-sharing (that is, sending two or more documents at the same time) will incur a charge.

According to the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, tens of thousands of bank accounts are opened every month through Diya, and financial institutions are ready to pay for access to customers’ digital documents. He noted that in one monobank alone, 22,000 accounts were opened through “Diya” in one day. This is the first service in Diya, which will be monetized, with the aim of attracting additional income and improving the quality of digital services.

The Digital Ministry is also working on the transformation of Diya into a full-fledged digital marketplace, where businesses will be able to launch their own services and use the state IT infrastructure. In the long term, it is planned to turn Diya into a separate state company with the possibility of a public offering of shares (IPO), which will pave the way for attracting investments in the development of the platform, which has already become a symbol of Ukraine’s digital modernization.

In addition, Mykhailo Fedorov announced the launch of the beta version of the AI agent on the Diya portal. The new assistant will function as a chatbot based on a large language model and will provide answers to user queries in the format of a live conversation.
