Before the negotiations in Istanbul, the Ukrainian delegation met with representatives of Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom

On June 2, the Ukrainian delegation held a meeting with representatives of Germany, Italy and Great Britain. This happened before the second round of negotiations with the Russian side, which is to be held in Istanbul. About this reported the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhiy Tyhiy.
First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Serhiy Kyslytsia and member of the Ukrainian delegation Oleksandr Bevz took part in the meeting with European partners. According to Tykhi, the parties have agreed on positions before the upcoming negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
“Members of the Ukrainian delegation confirmed Ukraine’s commitment to peace efforts. They detailed the issues on the agenda, which include a meeting of leaders, a full ceasefire, and confidence-building measures in the humanitarian sphere.”, the spokesperson added.
Ukraine’s meeting with the Russian delegation is tentatively scheduled for 1:00 p.m. in the Chiragan Palace.
We will remind you that on May 31, Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that neither Ukraine nor its partners have clear information about what proposals the Russian delegation plans to bring to Istanbul. On the afternoon of June 1, the head of state confirmed Ukraine’s participation in the negotiations and announced Kyiv’s key positions, including a full and unconditional ceasefire. Later, the president announced the composition of the Ukrainian delegation to participate in the negotiations.
