Bezrukova called on Zelensky to intervene in the conflict around the AHO

Marina Bezrukova, former director of the Defense Procurement Agency (AOZ). turned to to Volodymyr Zelenskyi with an open letter and called on him to intervene in the conflict surrounding the agency.

“The essence of the problem is not just an attempt to release me, but the actual destruction of the institution in violation of all possible laws and international obligations of Ukraine.” Bezrukova noted.

She emphasized that the change in management led to the blocking of the agency’s work for a whole week, which jeopardizes critical supplies for the Armed Forces, undermines the trust of international partners and negatively affects the country’s security.

“Providing the needs of the Armed Forces requires a different pace of work. It is impossible to effectively manage the agency by working part-time for several hours a day.” – says the open letter.

Bezrukova called on Zelenskyi to stop the destruction of the Defense Procurement Agency, to ensure the resolution of the conflict in the legal field and to guarantee the stable operation of the institution without pressure, blockages and obstacles.

It will be recalled that earlier the Supervisory Board of AOZ decided to extend the contract with Bezrukova for another year, but the Ministry of Defense refused to agree to this. As a result, she was removed from her position for an official investigation, and Arsena Zhumadilov was appointed as a temporary administrator.
