Blinken calls on Ukrainians to make a fundamental decision about the war

Ukrainians have to make an important decision about the way forward: to continue the fight or to start negotiations to achieve a ceasefire. About this stated US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
In his opinion, in 2025, Ukraine will face a fundamental question — whether to choose the path of struggle or to go to dialogue to conclude a peace agreement.
“The fundamental question is whether Russia is ready to do it and do it in good faith”, Blinken emphasized.
If the parties agree on negotiations, the United States seeks to provide Ukraine with the strongest possible position to reach a favorable agreement.
“And that means trying to strengthen Ukraine’s position on the battlefield, making sure that it has money, that it has ammunition, and that it has a mobilized workforce to continue the fight.” – added the US Secretary of State.
He believes that the durability of any deal must ensure that Russia does not use it as a pause to regain strength and launch new aggression in a few years.
“If we get it, Ukraine is on the way to success. It is a country that stands strong as an independent state. It has not been wiped off the map. And I know that President Trump will want to make a good deal.” Blinken emphasized.
