Brigade commander Poberezhnyuk was released from custody on bail

The commander of the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade of the Armed Forces Support Forces, Colonel Oleg Poberezhnyuk, was released after posting bail in the amount of 908,400 hryvnias. About this reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General.
“At the request of the prosecutors of the Ternopil specialized prosecutor’s office in the field of defense of the Western region, the court chose the commander of the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a preventive measure – detention with the right to pay a bail of UAH 908,400.” – says the message.
At the same time, the higher command suspended him from the performance of official duties.
The day before, the court passed a decision on preventive measures for the colonel in the form of detention for a period of two months, with the possibility of making bail.
According to the investigation, Poberezhniuk used subordinate servicemen to build his own house in Khmelnytskyi. In addition, cases of extortion and abuse of servicemen were recorded in the brigade.
