Businesses have been charged UAH 111 billion in additional taxes since the beginning of the year: Hetmantsev

The State Tax Service (STS) has charged taxpayers an additional UAH 110.9 billion in taxes based on the results of audits conducted in January-September 2024. This was announced on Telegram by Danylo Hetmantsev (Servant of the People), Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy.
He clarified that voluntarily agreed liabilities amounted to UAH 17.3 billion out of the total amount of additional taxes. The remaining amounts were disputed in courts.
‘Based on the results of consideration at all levels of court appeals, decisions were made in favour of the State Tax Service for UAH 37.9 billion, or 63% of the cases considered. As for the remaining additional amounts, appeals are ongoing,’ Hetmantsev added.
As reported earlier, Hetmantsev said that as of the beginning of the year, about half of Ukraine’s economy was in the shadow, and the amount of undeclared taxes by such entrepreneurs reached UAH 500 billion. According to him, this year, thanks to the measures taken, it may be reduced to UAH 420-430 billion.
