Chernogorenko leaves the post of Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization

Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Development, Transformations and Digitalization announced, who leaves the position after almost two years of work.
“For almost two years, I had the honor of leading the direction of digitization of the Ministry of Defense. The most difficult and responsible job in my life. The coolest team that was not afraid of any challenges, generated new ideas, embodied a completely different approach to the transformation of services.” – noted Chernogorenko.
She summarized the main results of her work in the position, mentioning the launch of such initiatives as Reserve+, Army+, the transfer of military services online, as well as the introduction of DOT-Chain.
“When I came, they said about DELTA that it was something underground, illegal. Together with the Innovation Center, we put an end to it – DELTA is legalized and destroys more than 2,000 targets every day. We carried out an information security check – for the first time in history according to the standards of NATO countries.”, she emphasized.
Chernogorenko added that within the framework of the IT coalition, it was possible to attract 1.1 billion euros of international support for the development of the military IT infrastructure. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received EUR 2 billion in aid in the form of drones and funds for their purchase through the Drone Coalition.
We will remind you that on July 18, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed the former Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov as the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. Commenting on his new powers, Zelenskyi also stated the need to “intensify the negotiation track” with Russia.
