Ukraine may face fuel shortages and rising prices due to mobilization

According to experts’ warnings, the entry into force of the new mobilization law in Ukraine may lead to serious problems with the supply of fuel, medicine and other imported goods.

About this stated founder of the logistics group of companies “Prime” Dmytro Lyushkin on the air of “Kyiv24

The main problem is that many truck drivers who transport these goods will not be able to go abroad because they did not have time to update their data at the military commissariats (TCC) and pass the military medical commission (MMC).

According to the founder of the “Prime” logistics group, Dmytro Lyushkin, due to queues at the TCC and VLK, many drivers will not be able to obtain the necessary documents until May 18, when the ban on leaving will come into effect.

“This may lead to a collapse in the fuel market, because stocks at gas stations are designed for only two weeks,” Lyushkin warns.

In addition, Ukrainian carriers are afraid that their place on the market will be taken by Polish companies that do not face similar problems.

The situation is further complicated by the fact that many international drivers are afraid to travel abroad due to cases of summonses being served at roadblocks.

The market of international road transportation in Ukraine may stop if a clear and transparent booking system for drivers is not created“, – says Volodymyr Balin, vice-president of the Association of International Motor Carriers.

Currently, Ukrainian truck drivers have already turned to the president with a petition, in which they ask to provide them with armor against mobilization.
