China has sent a request to the EU for possible participation in peacekeeping forces in Ukraine

China has asked the European Union about possible participation in the peacekeeping mission in Ukraine and is currently waiting for a response from its European partners. About this informs edition of Welt.
China’s participation in the peacekeeping mission may influence Russia’s position and prompt it to reconsider its attitude to the deployment of international forces on the territory of Ukraine. At the same time, such a step is considered extremely sensitive and requires a balanced approach.
We will remind you that at the end of January, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that after the cessation of hostilities, Ukraine will need at least 200,000 peacekeepers, and later clarified that American military personnel should be among them.
However, Europe does not have the necessary number of peacekeepers that could be sent to Ukraine — this number is almost three times greater than the number of the British army. Currently, a number of European countries are working confidentially on a plan to send troops to Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump expressed his support for the deployment of European peacekeepers in Ukraine, but emphasized that the United States will not participate in this mission.
At the same time, the spokesman of the French Foreign Ministry, Christophe Lemond, said that at the moment, European countries are only discussing the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine, and not the specific number of the contingent. In turn, the German concern Rheinmetall has already expressed its readiness to provide peacekeepers with weapons.
