Chinese citizen becomes owner of the largest private amber mining company in Ukraine

Ren Yongpeng, a Chinese citizen, is the new owner of the company Solar Craft Centre, a leader in private amber mining in Ukraine. On 5 November, his company Lumos Plus officially became a sole participant in the Solnechne Remeleko Centre LLC, and a little earlier, Fedir Horban, a representative of Lumos Plus, was appointed director of the company. This was reported by Nadra.info.

Previously, the owners of the Solar Craft Centre included Concord Consulting LLC, founded by Ihor Mazepa (58%), Yurii Blahodyr (32%, managed the company in 2021-2024) and Halyna Symkha (10%).

Insiders of the subsoil use market report that the final closing of the deal and the update of information on the beneficiaries are expected in the near future.

Since last year, Ihor Mazepa and Yuriy Blagodyr have also been controlling another amber company, Solnechne Remeslo LLC (formerly Sankamyan LLC), which includes another Chinese citizen, Wang Zhikai.

It is worth reminding that Solnechne Remeslo Centre LLC was founded in 2007 with a charter capital of UAH 1 million. The company is engaged in amber mining at the Volodymyrets Skhidnyi deposit in Rivne region and in 2023 produced 11,623.04 kg of amber, second only to Volynpryrodresurs of the Volyn Regional Council (14,667.27 kg).
